The Sensational Se7en Hits the Party Room

For Miss Awesome’s birthday, we went to The Party Room! For the “dress up” (because we’re kids who never grew up), our theme was “Jane Fonda 80’s Workout”. It was such a good choice that we even matched the decor!

What do you think? Do we look the part?

Awesome’s Birthday

The Party Room

The Party Room is an interactive party space that provides a range games and activities you can play with your friends, family and co-workers. The space can accommodate up to 120 guests. You can drop in (pay by the hour), book a room (minimum 6 pax for 3 hours), or book out the entire place (minimum 60 pax for 3 hours).

Designed for all ages, from kids to adults, you can play games like: Whack-a-Mole, Floor Curling, Rainy Bike, Football Arena, Blow Soccer, 3D Twister, Giant Jenga, Ball Throwing Projection, Balloon Over Head, Hover Pong, Costume Dress-Up, and others…

The Games

We booked ourselves in for 2 hours and played 6 games. We spent the rest of the time camwhoring because there were just so many fun props to take pictures with! There were other games to play but we ran out of time for them.

Dance-Off

Awesome’s Birthday Awesome’s Birthday Awesome’s Birthday

This was an augmented reality game where we had to follow the dance moves of the person in the video. Points are awarded according to how accurately we were able to follow the moves. Team B was seriously outmatched by Team A who not only had the two Zumba ladies but a dark horse!

Blow Soccer

Awesome’s Birthday Awesome’s Birthday

Test your lung capacity and see who can blow the ping pong ball into the other team’s goal first!

Whack-a-Mole

Awesome’s Birthday

So the game goes like this: someone has to stand in the middle and guard the bananas while everyone else tries to steal them. Get smacked by the hammer and you’re out. Steal all the bananas and you win. Naturally we were the moles and the birthday girl got to whack us all.

3D Twister

3D Twister adds a third dimension to a fun old favourite. I don’t think I ever laughed so hard. There were some rather compromising photos but… what happens at The Party Room stays in The Party Room. You had to be there.

Giant Jenga

When you play until there are no more moves to be made…

Rainy Bike

Team A…

Versus Team B…

Awesome’s Birthday

Rainy Bike is when you have to put all your Flycycle training into practice. The stakes: getting dunked by water. There are no cleats and special shoes to lock in your feet. I find hooking your toes around the pedal is a good way to make sure your feet don’t slip off.

Team A may have won the Dance-Off with their dancers, but Team B had the real bikers – our very own Secret Agent (middle) and the Secret Weapon (left).

Climbing Wall

Awesome’s Birthday

Just hanging around… or rather camwhoring as usual.

Board Games

Awesome’s Birthday

The plan was to pose for photos, but some of us got hooked playing the “fishing game” (pun intended) and hungry hippos.

The Ball Pit

Awesome’s Birthday

Kids see a ball pit and think “fun”. We see a ball pit and think “wefie”! We had a whole photoshoot in the ball pit under the artful guidance of our stage director.

The screen in the background is Ball Throwing Projection Game. It’s another augmented reality game where you have to throw the balls at the screen according to the rules of the game. We were too busy taking photos so we didn’t get around to it.

The Playground

There is a play area for the little kids, which these big kids used for a photo setting. Well, it was a school day so there were no kids around.

Photo Corner

Awesome’s Birthday

This is your chance be a kid again and play dress up. They have fun costumes for kids and adults. We figured we were already in costume (Jane Fonda 80’s Workout) so we just took pictures with the props.

Sensational Se7en Verdict

The Party Room was awesome! We give it seven thumbs up! We laughed so hard and had so much fun. Our host, Jeffrey, was the greatest! He took the best photos and looked after us so well. The Party Room is perfect for anyone thinking of having a party or for companies planning a team building event.

Getting There

The Party Room is located on Level 3 of Atria.
